The 2025 Gator Cup is an absolute classic and one of the must attend shoots of the season. All the big guns were there. Eric Harvey won the Main with an 190 and Zachary Kienbaum was runner up with 188. In the Lady's, Kiersten Sales took first with a 171 and Desirae Edmunds was runner up with 168. The winds were pretty fierce on Saturday and those of us that shot the Yellow Course really felt it - there were a lot of long birds that made things even more challenging, but that's the game we play. Great targets - some long and fast, others technical demanding patience. Target setting was just great. I managed to earn a punch in the Friday Prelim. Beautiful grounds - mature trees created a beautiful backdrop.
One of the highlights of the shoot was that I had the opportunity to shoot two prelims with Master Class Shooter Rodney Disbrow and a member of the US Sporting Clays Team. He had a top 10 finish in the Main and I greatly appreciated his patient support while shooting together!
Food & Hospitality were top notch. Next year I will book loding earlier so I can stay closer to the shoot. Leaving early cost me a Beretta A400!
Took a charter boat out of Charleston for some incredible inshore fishing. Brandon Powell joined me along with Hunter Webb and his Dad Rick! John Fuss of Holy City Fishing Charters was our guide. There is something absolutely amazing to me about fishing the waters of Charleston Harbor where you have Fort Sumter to one side, the city on another and the Ravenel Bridge on the other - The Red Fish, Seatrout and Sheepshead were amazing...Brandon even hooked into a nice Black Drum!
